IGF-1 LR3 calculator
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83 amino acid version of IGF-1 that barely binds the carrier proteins, so it is about three times as potent as IGF-1 in rats and lasts longer. It has never been given to humans in a trial.

About the IGF-1 LR3 math
IGF-1 LR3 is a recombinant 83-amino-acid analog of a growth factor protein. It is listed in 0.1 mg and 1 mg vials, far smaller than most peptide vials, which is why microgram precision matters here. A 0.1 mg vial holds only 100 mcg in total. With 1 mL of bacteriostatic water it is 0.1 mg/mL, or 100 mcg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds exactly 1 mcg: a 20 mcg draw is 0.2 mL, or 20 units, and the vial gives five. With 0.5 mL the concentration is 200 mcg/mL and 20 mcg is 10 units. A 1 mg vial with 2 mL is 0.5 mg/mL, or 500 mcg/mL; a 50 mcg draw is 0.1 mL, or 10 units, with 20 draws in the vial. With 1 mL it is 1,000 mcg/mL, so 50 mcg is 5 units and each unit carries 10 mcg. At that strength a half-unit misread is 5 mcg, a tenth of the draw, whereas at 100 mcg/mL the same misread is 0.5 mcg.
IGF-1 LR3 questions
How much IGF-1 LR3 should I take?
There is no human dose; it has never been trialed in people. The commonly reported range is 20 to 80 mcg once daily, starting at 20 to 30 mcg. On a 1 mg vial in 2 mL, 20 mcg is 4 units and 50 mcg is 10 units.
How many units of IGF-1 LR3 is 50 mcg?
With 1 mg reconstituted in 2 mL you have 500 mcg per mL, so 50 mcg is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units. With 1 mg in 1 mL it is 5 units. Vials this small make a 2 mL reconstitution easier to measure.
How many units is 50 mcg of IGF-1 LR3 at 1 mg in 2 mL?
1 mg divided by 2 mL is 0.5 mg/mL, or 500 mcg/mL. 50 mcg divided by 500 mcg/mL is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 syringe. The vial holds 20 such draws.
How much bacteriostatic water for a 0.1 mg vial of IGF-1 LR3?
Any volume the vial holds. 1 mL gives 0.1 mg/mL (100 mcg/mL), 2 mL gives 50 mcg/mL and 3 mL gives 33.3 mcg/mL (rounded). A 20 mcg draw is 20 units, 40 units or 60 units at those three concentrations.
How many 20 mcg draws are in a 1 mg vial of IGF-1 LR3?
1 mg is 1,000 mcg, and 1,000 divided by 20 is 50 draws. With 2 mL of solvent (500 mcg/mL) each 20 mcg draw is 0.04 mL, or 4 units; with 5 mL (200 mcg/mL) it is 0.1 mL, or 10 units.
