A 2.5 mL solvent volume gives this material clean numbers. A 5 mg vial with 2.5 mL of bacteriostatic water is 2 mg/mL, or 2,000 mcg/mL. A 200 mcg draw is 0.1 mL, or 10 units on a U-100 syringe, and 5,000 mcg divided by 200 mcg is 25 draws per vial. A 10 mg vial with 2.5 mL is 4 mg/mL, so 200 mcg is 0.05 mL, or 5 units, and the vial holds 50 draws. To keep 10 units per 200 mcg from the 10 mg vial, add 5 mL instead, which brings it back to 2 mg/mL, provided the vial can hold 5 mL. The pattern is general: doubling the solvent halves the concentration and doubles the units per draw, while the number of draws in the vial never changes.
