Melanotan II calculator
Melanotan II is a cyclic alpha-MSH analog that darkens skin and, as a side effect, triggers erections and nausea. The only human dosing study used 0.01 to 0.03 mg/kg subcutaneously (0.7 to 2.1 mg for a 70 kg person) and recommended 0.025 mg/kg.

About the Melanotan II math
Melanotan II, also written MT-2 or MT-II, is a synthetic cyclic analog of a melanocortin peptide. Suppliers list it as 10 mg vials of lyophilized powder. The example amount here is 500 mcg, and three solvent volumes show how the units move. A 10 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water is 5 mg/mL, or 5,000 mcg/mL. A 500 mcg draw is 0.1 mL, or 10 units on a U-100 syringe, and 10,000 divided by 500 gives 20 draws per vial. With 1 mL in the vial the concentration is 10,000 mcg/mL and 500 mcg is 0.05 mL, or 5 units. With 4 mL it is 2,500 mcg/mL and the same draw is 0.2 mL, or 20 units. A 250 mcg draw at 2,500 mcg/mL is 0.1 mL, or 10 units, and the vial then holds 40 draws. Each extra milliliter of solvent spreads the same 10 mg across more units, which makes small amounts easier to read on the barrel without changing how many draws the vial contains.
Melanotan II questions
How much melanotan 2 should I take to start?
0.25 mg (250 mcg) the first few days, moving to 0.5 mg if nausea is tolerable. The human study dosed by weight at 0.01 to 0.03 mg/kg and found nausea at almost every level, so there is no reason to start high.
Melanotan 2 maintenance dose?
Once you have the color you want, 0.5 to 1 mg once or twice a week holds it for most users. Keep some sun or UV exposure; MT-2 amplifies tanning, it does not replace light.
How many units is 500 mcg of Melanotan II at 10 mg in 2 mL?
10 mg divided by 2 mL is 5 mg/mL, or 5,000 mcg/mL. 500 mcg divided by 5,000 mcg/mL is 0.1 mL. On a U-100 syringe 0.1 mL is 10 units.
How much bacteriostatic water for a 10 mg vial of Melanotan II?
Any volume the vial holds. 1 mL gives 10 mg/mL, 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL and 3 mL gives 3.33 mg/mL (rounded). A 250 mcg draw is 2.5 units, 5 units or 7.5 units at those concentrations, so 2 mL or 4 mL lands on whole marks while 1 mL and 3 mL do not.
How many 250 mcg draws are in a 10 mg vial of Melanotan II?
10 mg is 10,000 mcg, and 10,000 divided by 250 is 40 draws. With 2 mL of solvent each draw is 0.05 mL, or 5 units; with 4 mL each draw is 0.1 mL, or 10 units.
