BPC-157 dosage
BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid fragment of a stomach protein that has been studied for healing in hundreds of rat experiments, almost all from one group in Zagreb, and in almost no humans. Users most often inject 250 to 500 mcg under the skin once or twice a day for 4 to 8 weeks. Oral capsules at 500 to 1000 mcg are common for gut complaints because the peptide survives stomach acid. No human dose has ever been established.
Basis: commonly reported. subcutaneous, the standard community protocol; 500 mcg twice daily is the aggressive version
- How often
- once or twice daily
- When
- any time; many split morning and evening; injection near the injured area is common but unproven
- How long
- 4 to 8 weeks, then a break; a low 100 to 200 mcg maintenance dose is reported by some
- Route
- subcutaneous (abdomen, or near the injury); oral capsules for gut use
- Storage
- lyophilized: fridge or freezer; reconstituted: fridge, commonly used within 4 weeks (commonly reported)
Dose ranges by source
| Range | Per | Basis | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 mcg to 500 mcg | dose, 1 to 2 times daily | commonly reported | subcutaneous, the standard community protocol; 500 mcg twice daily is the aggressive version |
| 500 mcg to 1000 mcg | dose, 1 to 2 times daily | commonly reported | oral, mainly for gut complaints |
| 10 ng/kg to 10 mcg/kg | day | animal study (rats, Sikiric group) | the two doses used in most rat experiments; 10 mcg/kg is about 700 mcg for a 70 kg human by simple scaling, which is not how doses translate |

BPC-157 dose to units chart
5 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 2.5 mg/mL (25 mcg per unit on a U-100 insulin syringe). 5 mg + 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL, so 250 mcg = 0.1 mL = 10 units; 500 mcg = 20 units. A 10 mg vial with 4 mL gives the same numbers.
| Dose | mL | Units (U-100) | Doses per vial |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 mcg | 0.1 | 10 | 20 |
| 300 mcg | 0.12 | 12 | 16 |
| 400 mcg | 0.16 | 16 | 12 |
| 450 mcg | 0.18 | 18 | 11 |
| 500 mcg | 0.2 | 20 | 10 |

BPC-157 dosage questions
How much BPC-157 should I take?
There is no established human dose. The commonly reported range is 250 to 500 mcg injected under the skin once or twice a day for 4 to 8 weeks, which on a 5 mg vial in 2 mL is 10 to 20 units per shot. The rat studies used 10 mcg/kg, which does not convert cleanly to people.
Can you take BPC-157 orally?
Yes, and it is the one peptide where that is plausible, because it was isolated from gastric juice and is stable in stomach acid. Oral users commonly take 500 to 1000 mcg once or twice daily, mostly for gut complaints. For tendons and joints most people still inject.
How many units of BPC-157 is 250 mcg?
With 5 mg reconstituted in 2 mL you have 2500 mcg per mL, so 250 mcg is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. With 5 mg in 1 mL it is 5 units. Check your water volume first.
Do you inject BPC-157 near the injury?
Many users do, on the theory of a local effect, and the rat studies did use local application in some models. There is no human evidence that it matters, and the peptide reaches the bloodstream either way. Abdominal subcutaneous injection is fine if the site is awkward.
How long does it take BPC-157 to work?
Users commonly report changes in soreness within 1 to 2 weeks and run cycles of 4 to 8 weeks. There are no controlled human trials, so there is no real timeline. If nothing changes after 4 weeks, more weeks are unlikely to help.
