GHRH analog, long acting

CJC-1295 (DAC) dosage

CJC-1295 with DAC is a GHRH analog that binds to albumin and lasts about 6 to 8 days, so one weekly shot raises GH and IGF-1 for the whole week. A 2006 trial in healthy adults used single doses of 30 to 60 mcg/kg, roughly 2 to 4 mg, and saw GH rise 2 to 10 times for 6 days and IGF-1 stay up for 9 to 11 days. Users commonly inject 1 to 2 mg once a week for 8 to 12 weeks. The development program was dropped and it was never approved.

2 mg vial + 1 mL bacteriostatic water = 2 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 insulin syringe holds 20 mcg.

2 mg + 1 mL = 2 mg/mL, so 1 mg = 0.5 mL = 50 units; 2 mg = 100 units, a full 1 mL syringe. A 5 mg vial with 2.5 mL gives the same 2 mg/mL.

Before you start. Human dosing is not established beyond a phase 1 single-dose trial, and the drug's development was discontinued. Because GH stays raised all week instead of in pulses, water retention, carpal tunnel symptoms and higher blood sugar are reported more than with the no-DAC form. Avoid with active cancer or a cancer history. Not medical advice; start low and talk to a clinician.

6CJC-1295 (DAC) dosage questions

How much CJC-1295 DAC should I take per week?

The commonly reported dose is 1 to 2 mg once a week. The 2006 trial's best tolerated single doses were 30 to 60 mcg/kg, which is 2 to 4 mg for a 70 kg adult, so 2 mg sits at the low end of what was tested. On a 2 mg vial in 1 mL, 1 mg is 50 units.

How long does CJC-1295 DAC stay in your system?

The trial estimated a half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days, with GH raised for about 6 days and IGF-1 for 9 to 11 days after one dose. After repeated weekly doses IGF-1 stayed above baseline for up to 28 days. That is why it is a once-a-week peptide.

Can I take CJC-1295 DAC with ipamorelin?

Users commonly do: the DAC version keeps baseline GH up all week and the ipamorelin adds pulses at bedtime. Doses stay the same for each, 1 to 2 mg weekly of DAC and 200 to 300 mcg of ipamorelin. Expect more water retention than either alone.

CJC-1295 DAC vs no DAC?

DAC lasts a week and raises GH continuously; no DAC lasts about 30 minutes and gives a pulse. DAC is dosed in mg once weekly; no DAC in 100 to 200 mcg doses one to three times daily. The human trial data belongs to DAC.
